Letter Grade Directive of SEE 2072 to be made public

The National Examination Board has decided to make the results of the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) 2079 public as per the Result Letter Grade Directive of SEE 2072.

The board meeting scheduled for Wednesday is expected to publish the results unless delayed till Friday, as informed by one of the board members based on the decision made in the previous year. The meeting also decided to annul the results of the students involved in cheating during the examination from various districts including Morang.

In Monday’s meeting, examination controller Vishnu Nath Shrestha briefed the board officials about the preparations for the result. He mentioned that they are working with the goal of making the results public within this week, preferably by Wednesday (Asar 20). “If the meeting is scheduled for Wednesday (Asar 20), the results can be made public by Friday,” said the member, according to the source.

The board has already informed us that the final task of result collection and entry by the students is ongoing. However, there might be a slight delay of 1-2 days due to technical problems, as the employees involved always face such risks. Although the work procedure of the Letter Grading Directive 2078 was implemented last year, the results were published as per the directive of 2072.

This time, as the students studying the old curriculum are giving the final batch of exams, the publication of results is likely to be done as per the directive of 2072. Even though the students had the provision of adding 35 per cent marks in both theoretical and practical subjects in directive 2072, directive 2078 requires mandatory 35 per cent marks in theoretical subjects.

For students below D grade in two subjects, there is still the provision of an immediate grade improvement examination. From Chaitra 17, the examination conducted had the participation of 485,396 students.
