Akshara School celebrated its 15th anniversary by organizing an interactive session on "Dimensions of Leadership Development." The event, chaired by Executive Director Anju Bhattarai, featured distinguished speakers including Narottam Aryal, Sugharika KC, and Vedika Murarka. The program emphasized self-conquest, resilience, and family influence in leadership development, aligning with the school's mission to nurture globally competitive future leaders.

Kathmandu – Akshara School organized various programs on the occasion of its 15th anniversary. As part of the celebration, the school conducted an interactive session on “Dimensions of Leadership Development” on Wednesday, reflecting on its past activities. The event was chaired by the school’s Executive Director, Anju Bhattarai, and attended by experts, students, teachers, and parents.

The special guest speakers included Narottam Aryal, President of King’s College, Kathmandu, Sugharika KC, Miss Nepal 2005, and Vedika Murarkar, an entrepreneur. Speaking on the fundamentals of leadership development, Aryal emphasized that to conquer the world, one must first conquer oneself, highlighting the importance of education in this process. Similarly, KC stressed the need to identify and nurture the qualities of successful personalities within oneself. She encouraged students to discover their inner strengths and invest in developing those attributes, asserting that overcoming self-doubt is key to leadership growth.

Entrepreneur Murarkar shared that maintaining mental resilience in adverse situations is a crucial trait of a leader. Parents and other speakers underlined that leadership qualities are often cultivated within the family, with mothers playing a pivotal role. They concluded that the willingness to face challenges is essential for leaders. Executive Director Anju Bhattarai shared that the school has consistently organized capacity-building programs and believes that if students are given the right opportunities, they can unlock their potential. She emphasized that the skills and guidance students receive from an early age significantly shape their future. The school prioritizes education rooted in Nepalese values and culture.

Bhattarai expressed confidence that providing students with opportunities to showcase their year-long learning in formal events helps them further develop their skills in higher education. She highlighted that children’s inquisitive nature leads them to learn through imitation, observation, and exploration, making significant investments in school-level education essential.
