The Other Dimension

I felt the presence of a calm wind as I opened my eyes. “A new day, a new start,” I said, thinking about how my first day of school would go. To calm myself, I decided to take a sip of coffee, so I went to a nearby coffee shop and bought one.

As I was sipping my coffee, I heard a loud “Beep! Beep!”—it was the horn of my bus. I boarded and went straight to the last seat, sat down, and started listening to my newly made playlist.

I was humming along when, suddenly, the bus stopped. I looked around and saw a lot of people getting on. I was watching them until I heard a voice. “Excuse me,” it said. I turned around to see who it belonged to. There was a cute girl, around my age from what it looked like.

Once the bus reached the school, I went to my class. The teacher announced that she would be introducing us to a new student. My jaw dropped when I saw it was the same girl from the bus—Erza! She waved at me, and I waved back.

Later, in the cafeteria, while I was talking with my new friends, Chloe and Juvia, Erza joined us. She told us about a strange book in our library that could make people disappear. We didn’t believe her, so she promised to prove herself right.

That night, we sneaked into the library from the school’s backyard, climbing the walls with surprising ease. We entered the library and started looking for the book when I found one that looked unusual. I opened it, and suddenly, everything went black.

When I woke up, I found myself lying in a grassy area. I looked around and saw my friends lying there, unconscious. I woke them up. Soon, a guy approached us. He introduced himself as Yeonjun. “This is the other dimension, where vampires and wolverines live,” he said.

“So, what are you? Or, well, who are you?” I asked.

“I am the trainer of the three princesses of this dimension, and I am a vampire. The princesses are also vampires,” he explained.

He stopped talking, and I took in the breathtaking view of a castle nearby. Yeonjun called someone and then disappeared. A young lady soon appeared and introduced herself as Yeonha. She took us to a dorm-like room, where she handed us maid outfits. Though shocked, we eventually agreed to wear them.

The next morning, Yeonha instructed Erza and me to serve breakfast to the three princesses. After a quick talk with Yeonjun, Erza asked me to serve breakfast to two of the princes. I went to one of the rooms, knocked, but no one answered, so I placed the breakfast on a desk. Just as I was about to leave, someone said, “I’m here.”

“Yes?” I replied.

“Just ‘Yes’? No, ‘your highness’?” he asked. He was one of the princes. “Oh, your highness,” I corrected myself. What a cold guy, I thought. I ignored him and went to the next room.

This time, when I knocked, the prince inside responded with a kind “Yes?” I went in. “New here?” he asked.

“Yes, your highness,” I replied, expecting him to be as cold as the other prince. To my surprise, he was kind and even started a conversation. His name was Marco. We were talking when, suddenly, Chloe burst through the door, her eyes filled with tears. “Juvia is missing!” she cried.

My heart sank. My friend was missing in this unknown place? This couldn’t be happening. I searched everywhere and finally found her lying on the ground, covered in blood.

Later, we were called to the living room. I didn’t feel like going, but I had to. The princesses told us they would protect us until we returned to our dimension. Prince Marco was assigned to protect me, the cold Prince Alfonso was assigned to Erza, and Prince Zayn, the youngest, was assigned to Chloe. They explained that their father, the king, was the villain. He had created a portal to lure humans into this dimension so he could drink their blood.

Two days later, while the king was away at a meeting with the Alpha of the wolverine pack, we went to his room to look for a way home. Prince Marco was flipping through a book when a paper fell out. I picked it up and read it aloud: “To the humans who wish to return to their dimension, say ‘home’ three times in front of the Han River.”

Prince Marco took my hand, and we teleported to the Han River. Chloe and Erza were already there with the princesses assigned to them. The river was beautiful. I felt a mix of emotions—happy to return home, yet sad to leave my new friends behind. Finally, I said “home” for the last time, and a black portal appeared in front of me. It pulled me in, and the next thing I knew, I was back home.
