Pharping Hydropower is one of the oldest hydropower projects in Asia. It was built in the year 1967 BS under the leadership of Mr. Chandrashamsher Jabra.
The locals of Pharping had given their 324 ropanis of land to build a power house at that time. King Prithvi Bikram Shah inaugurated the Chandrajyoti Power House in Tundikhel on Monday, June 26, 1968. The Pharping Power House used to generate 500 kilowatts of electricity from water taken from Shesh Narayan and Setidevi areas.
On the occasion of the inauguration of Chandrajyoti Power House, Shri 3 Chandra Samser delivered a long speech at Tundikhel. His speech was published in the weekly ‘Gorkhapatra’ on June 7.
This is the speech of Shri 3 Maharaj (Shri 3 Maharaj

Manma is very happy to think that there is nothing less than this factory.
“By the grace of God, we will be able to light up our country’s power plant today. This is the first factory of its kind in Nepal. I have this factory with me.” The real statement of Aheshan that I have been given is will be
that the factory opened by the hands of our government. Due to the fact that it has to be done in order to run smoothly, even a lot of this (….) Of electricity is currently used only to keep the lights in our capital city. Apart from the work of the lamp, it can also be used to heat the room without the smell of electricity.
Abundant firewood is not easily available in Nepal Khalda. Because of the fear of electricity being used for round firewood, Tess is also comfortable. There is no place to improve the work of the industry. There is nothing that cannot be overcome by working diligently and diligently in the work of such industries.
If we are not able to reap the benefits of God’s mercy in our own country, what is more regrettable than that? With so much expense and hard work, this power plant has been set up. And as Mr. Payette has openly stated, there is nothing that our people, who have been trying to use in the factory and in this industry to make goods with the help of electricity, cannot be afraid of it. This is not just a matter of enthusiasm during this festival.
The only thing that matters is that our city has a lot of work to do in terms of cleanliness. The mouthpiece of progress (main) is also the work of one cleaning. It is a pity that our capital city is very dirty in some places. Water-borne diseases have been eradicated since the water tap was brought to our place. However, we should always pay close attention to the improvement towards cleanliness. The ASMA government must be defeated by the world. The government has not imposed any fee on the city for cleaning the city. Therefore, it is not possible for the government to do a good job for the betterment of the country.
Now, on the subject of electricity, I would also like to say that it made us happy because the work of lifting was well done. Even in Konakam, it will be difficult to get the lifting work done well. Teshkisim’s work continues to grow on its own once it is difficult to get up. Manma is very happy to think that this power plant, which was built by the hard work of the people of her own country, is not inferior to anything like this factory on the east side.
What could be more satisfying than the fact that the work of our industry is growing and the number of factories is increasing? Thank you to all the Europeans, Indians and Nepalis who have worked very hard for this work and have worked hard to make it work. From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank Mr. Barnau Puwante, the Chief Electrical Engineer, for his hard work and dedication to the task at hand.
His hard work and dedication is commendable. I also thank Mr. Linzale of the famous General Electric Company for his excellent work. I was very pleased to hear that the officers and other people in this work were also working hard. I am happy with their work. The engineers who form their loosies will be considered by their respective bases. Thanks to their hard work, this work has been successful today. I thank General Padmasambhava Jung Bahadur Rana for his success.
I did a lot of work on him and I did all the work accordingly. From the very beginning of this work, I have greatly appreciated the help rendered by Brother Commander-in-Chief. I also thank him from the bottom of my heart. Before concluding this speech, I would like to say something about the fact that this electrical work teaches us yes. The works of wisdom are being propagated in this day and age.
There is a difference between the time when there is no electric light and the time after that light is over. It is hoped that Nepal will not forget the fact that electricity is the main reason for prosperity in our world since it was enlightened. Nowadays, there is nothing we can expect from the fact that we need to know the wisdom of the essential understanding.
While sitting under the good light of this electric lamp, just as the burning lamp is pure and clean, so is the conduct of Vedag, and the hope is that people should take full advantage of the power of the lamp as much as possible. It is hoped that the darkness of the night will go away and the darkness of our beads will also go away and new knowledge will be created.
Now that I have the opportunity to be graciously honored by Colonel Manners and Mr. Unleaded gentlemen on this occasion, I extend my heartfelt condolences. Carefully listen to what I have said in unison. Thank you to everyone else. My prayer to God is that it will benefit our work. ”
