The aim of this project is to study the variety of water harvesting ideas at local, national and international level with regards to the use of local resources, adaptations and other interesting trivia.

 International dimension and Brief Description The aim of this project is to study the variety of water harvesting ideas at local, national and international level with regards to the use of local resources, adaptations and other interesting trivia.

Learning Outcomes By the end of this activity the students will be able to: Gain knowledge and understanding of variety of water harvesting plants found in local areas/ common areas in other countries. Analyze the varied adaptation for water storage and ideas for conservation of rain water across the country Appreciate the importance of conservation of drinking (natural, rainwater, which is limited in our planet.
 Brief and clear description of activity  The learners will research to collect information and pictures on various water harvesting plants/ reservoirs around the world using internet, magazines, newspapers and books and displays/ charts will be presented on it. A trip to local reservoir of water harvesting plant will be organized. Sharing of knowledge will be done in school using ICT. The learners in group will prepare reports and models based on the information and research.  Their work will be displayed in an exhibition for other learners’ parents and guests.
